Thanks to economic development, the land along the railway has been rapidly developed, and the resident population has grown in large numbers. After the Taiwan Railway Linkou(林口) Line was stopped, a rare opportunity arose to connect the urban corridor space with the city. Therefore, it is hoped to use the railway corridor space to provide bicycle paths and leisure green belts and connect them to surrounding resources, including the open campus of Affiliated Taoyuan Agricultural & Industrial Senior High School of National Taipei University of Technology near the railway corridor and the environmental improvement of hill foot paths in order to improve the quality of life of urban residents and achieve urban activation and regeneration. The project plan covers the city’s Guishan District(龜山區), Taoyuan District(桃園區), and Luzhu District(蘆竹區). The project is located at the Taiwan Railway Linkou(林口) Line corridor (Sec. 3, Chenggong Road(成功路) of Taoyuan District(桃園區) - Liufu Road(六福路) of Luzhu District(蘆竹區)) and the surrounding space of the corridor, including Affiliated Taoyuan Agricultural & Industrial Senior High School of National Taipei University of Technology, Jishiwu(機十五), Gymnasium, and Hutoushan(虎頭山) Scenic Area.

The "Taiwan Railway Linkou(林口) Line corridor activation project" plan starts from Sec. 3, Chenggong Road(成功路) of Taoyuan District(桃園區) and goes to Liufu Road(六福路), a total of10.3 kilometers long, which will retain part of the railway corridor image, transform the usage into a green corridor closely linked with the surrounding life, and be integrated into the overall planning of urban public bike rental stations;it shall cooperate with intersection improvement, especially near the school,scenic spot connection, and tourism promotion strategies to improve green transportation for commuting, schooling, and sightseeing. Visitors and residents can experience the precipitation of Taoyuan(桃園)'s history and culture as a carrier of old and new memories, the scale of urban development, and the display of a better life, as well as get a taste of different urban lifestyles.

By taking the opportunity to reactivate the corridor space, a 5.3-km green corridor will be created, with zero waste transport (750m3 of concrete is removed as subgrade backfill), about 5,618 tons of carbon sequestration after the forest grows up, and a characteristic corridor ultimately formed. These efforts can improve the quality of urban space, promote people-oriented green traffic, integrate the surrounding road traffic, construct an ecological landscape corridor, and retain local history and culture.
