Both Jinshan District(金山區) and Wanli District(萬里區) have history and culture, hot springs, mountain and sea views, and ecological features, but the current situation is lacking planning, and the self-illumination is low. This plan aimed to integrate the green traffic surrounding green space system, node, park road, old street, and potential areas through landscape transformation, environmental art, a stratified urban landscape, urban landscape resource integration of public facilities, and more. The existing open space was combined with the pedestrian path network and bicycle trail to carry out the overall planning and design.
This plan incorporates the Jinshan District(金山區) Zhongshan Hot Spring Park(中山溫泉公園) and its surrounding environment integration plan (Jinshan District(金山區) and Wanli District(萬里區)) to create the northern coastal town. Jinshan District(金山區)’s Zhongshan Hot Spring Park(中山溫泉公園) and its surrounding environment integration plan is the focus of the overall landscape construction planning to gradually achieve the old town with development potential, establish a friendly environment, and improve the ramp node, open space, and other public facilities. Furthermore, the commercial and industrial reconstruction of potential urban spaces should be pursued to improve the quality and function of the local living environment, and the overall construction of the landscape environment should also be supported.
The concept of "low carbon," "environmental protection," "green base," and "local regeneration" will be introduced through the construction, integration, and connection of a slow-living town, as well as related environmental constructions and regional guidance mechanisms, thus improving the living environment with the concept of a livable life, integrating urban spaces, and regenerating regional quality of life.
The results include 46% green content, 18 kg CO2e carbon reduction, 14,377 m² green landscaping area, 15% improvement of green cover rate, 6489 m² increased area of park and green space (or open space), 6250 m² increased or improved area of pedestrian space, 2433 m² increased area of wetland (or ecological pool), and 2307 m² increased area of permeable pavement, 11409 m² reduced area of impervious pavement, and simple beautifying surface of river banks or coast.
With the "Heart of Town Project" as the basic axis for constructing a green network and building bright spots in towns, towns with potential will be developed, improving overall environmental quality and creating high-quality characteristic towns.
